About Hemen Coffee

Hemen Coffee is an Ethiopian private company established in 2025 with a clear focus: exporting high–quality Sidama Arabica coffee to the global market. The company is built on a deep family heritage of coffee farming, shaped by generations of experience, care and commitment to exceptional cup quality.

Our CEO and co-founder is the grandson of respected coffee farmers from the Sidama region. For many years, his father and grandfather have operated one of the most well-known and productive coffee farms in Sidama, giving him a lifelong connection to coffee cultivation and quality production.

He spent more than four years studying in China, where he gained international experience, exposure to global business practices and a deeper understanding of how the coffee market operates worldwide. This international perspective, combined with his family’s long-standing farming legacy, inspired him to establish Hemen Coffee and share the authentic taste of Sidama coffee with professional buyers and roasters around the world.

Located in Hawassa, in the heart of Ethiopia’s coffee-growing belt, Hemen Coffee combines traditional farming wisdom with modern processing and quality-control techniques. Our mission is to deliver consistent, traceable Sidama coffee with rich flavor, distinctive aroma and strong cultural value, while supporting sustainable farming practices and empowering local communities.

MOQ depends on the lot and contract. For most export shipments, we work in container-based volumes, but we can also support smaller consolidated shipments if planned in advance.
